Intro

A soft silk saree uses a finer, lighter-weight silk yarn than a traditional heavy Kanjivaram, giving it an easier drape without losing the richness of pure silk. Our kanchi soft silk sarees are handwoven by the same weaver families behind our bridal and traditional collections, using pure mulberry silk with Silk Mark certification — the softness comes from the yarn and weave, never from a synthetic blend.

What Makes It Soft Silk

Most pieces in this collection use brocade weaving, where the pattern is woven directly into the fabric using supplementary threads, producing a raised, textured motif across the body. A few use a plain weave for an entirely understated, borderless-adjacent look. Zari work is typically in gold or rose gold, chosen to complement the lighter base silk rather than the heavier pure zari used in bridal weaves.

Soft silk sarees suit festive gatherings, family functions, and workwear where you want the elegance of silk without bridal-level weight. The easier drape also makes them a good choice for first-time saree wearers. Care & Authenticity

Genuine soft silk still carries a natural sheen and slightly rough zari texture, just with a lighter hand-feel than a traditional Kanjivaram.
