Intro

A zero zari saree is woven entirely in silk thread, without any metallic zari — no gold, silver, or synthetic thread anywhere in the body or border. It's a plain silk Kanjivaram, prized for its understated look and comfortable, lightweight feel. Every zero zari saree here is handwoven by our Kanchipuram weavers using pure mulberry silk, with Silk Mark certification confirming the silk content even without zari to certify.

Weave & Design

Some pieces use butta motifs woven in matching-colour thread rather than zari for subtle texture; others use korvai construction with a contrast-colour border in place of a metallic one. The result keeps the structure and craft of a Kanjivaram weave without any of the metallic weight or shine.

When to Wear a Zero Zari Saree

Zero zari sarees suit daily wear, workwear, and understated festive occasions where a heavier zari-laden saree would feel too formal. They're also a comfortable, lighter option for anyone who prefers minimal shine.

Care & Authenticity
